Natalie MacMaster (innate 1973) is an award-winning fiddler from the town of Troy, Nova Scotia, Canada. She is one of a right-known musicians in the tradition of Cape Breton fiddle music. She began swimming a fiddle at the age of Ix, & manufactured her performing debut the equivalent month at a square dance around Glencoe Mills, Nova Scotia. She hwhen manufactured the extremely successful career when a traveling musician, travelling to Europe & Asia & doing as several as 250 shows inside a year. She has toured by using several celebrated performing artist, including the Chieftains, Faith Hill, Carlos Santana and Alison Krauss. She has appeared at numbers of music festivals worldwide, including a Celtic Colours festival in Cape Breton, Celtic Connections in Scotland, and Merlefest in the United States.

After she was Sixteen she freed her 1st album, Four on the Floor. She freed her 2nd album, Touring to the Islet, within 1991. Two one self-self-generated albums were freed in cassette single, however it were re-freed as A Compilation (using two or three tracks omitted) by Rounder Records in 1998. Natalie's more albums include Healthy as a Violin (1993), No Boundaries (1996), the Grammy-nominated My Roots come Showing (1998), In The Paws (1999), Live (2002), Blueprint (2004), and Natalie & Buddy MacMaster (2005).

She has received the total of American music awards, including many "Artist of the Year" awards from either a East Coast Music Association, two Juno awards for best subservient album, & "Fiddler of the Year" from either a Canadian Country Music Association.

Around recent years she has expanded her musical repertoire, mixing her Cape Breton roots with music from either Scotl& and Ireland, likewise when Western bluegrass.

Natalie is a girl of Alex & Minnie (Beaton) MacMaster, & the niece of renowned Cape Breton fiddler Buddy MacMaster. She is the first cousin of 2 more easily-known Cape Breton fiddlers, Ashley MacIsaac and Andrea Beaton. Within 2003 she married fiddler Donnell Leahy of the Leahy family band.
